File-function

File_53 is a companion to File_51c, but not a continuation of the Rounded Scaffold argument. File_51c established the Book of Jubilees as a macro-rounded witness through the 49/50 dual register. File_53 isolates the internal symbolic architecture of Jubilees itself: the 22 works of creation, the 22 generations from Adam to Jacob, Cainan’s theological expunction, the 7/13 calendar grammar, the Flood-to-rest chiasm, and the larger providential synchronizations that connect BJ to the cumulative MT/SP/LXX fields.

The file must preserve a strict interpretive hierarchy:

Its narrower aim is to test whether BJ’s chronology—especially its treatment of Cainan, Creation, Flood, and Conquest—coheres with the larger OT chronological field under the assumption that divine providence may govern patterns beyond the author’s conscious design. In this sense, the author may speak more than he knew under divine sovereignty.

The omission of 2Cainan is necessary to preserve Jacob as #22. If Cainan is inserted, Jacob becomes #23 and the 22-fold structure collapses.

Cainan’s omission is more precise than a generic genealogical deletion.

If counted, Cainan would occupy the 13th patriarchal position. In the creation list, the 13th work is the sun. But Cainan’s sin in Jubilees 8 concerns the forbidden Watcher lore of sun, moon, stars, and heavenly omens. Therefore he would occupy the very solar/luminary position that he corrupts.
