Companion to The 9900-Year Bridge in Rounded Biblical Chronology.
These optional notes provide the full MT rounding tables, explain their anchors, and document the lifespan total and overlap calculation. The main article contains the complete explanation; readers do not need this appendix to follow it. The canonical links below provide the fuller technical treatment.
A1. The selected chronological states
The article uses the MT Rounded Regular base in File_51a §3.1 and the Rounded Cumulative Moses line in §16.2:
- Regular Creation 4106 BC, Noah’s birth 3056 BC, Flood 2456 BC, and Conquest/Moses’ death 1406 BC.
- Terah’s begetting interval is 70; the Shem +2 is excluded as specified for this Rounded comparison.
- Cumulative lifespans are stacked backward from 1406 BC, using Moses’ 120 years rather than the Rounded Aaron alternative of 125.
- No restored second Cainan, +60 Terah shift, or +30 apparent-age overlay enters the focal 12600 construction.
The Rounded Flood/Arphaxad co-location at 2456 is a File_51a scaffold convention. It does not replace the actual Flood start/close and fixed-Arphaxad distinctions in File_18. The native Rounded Cumulative Flood boundary is 4836 BC.
The 9900 bridge is specific to the selected Creation pair, 14006/4106. It does not make every Cumulative date 9900 earlier than its Regular counterpart. Rounded labels do not acquire Tishri/Nisan phases merely because their final digit is 1 or 6.

A1a. How the Regular dates are obtained
The Regular table rounds the fatherhood intervals in the selected MT comparison state to the nearest multiple of five. Each age belongs to the man named in that row and leads to the next listed generation. Subtract the rounded interval from his BC birth numeral to obtain the next birth date. For example, Methuselah’s 3421 − 185 = 3236 BC gives Lamech’s Rounded birth.
| Patriarch | Original fatherhood interval used | Rounded interval | Rounded birth, BC |
|---|---|---|---|
| Adam | 130 | 130 | 4106 |
| Seth | 105 | 105 | 3976 |
| Enosh | 90 | 90 | 3871 |
| Kenan | 70 | 70 | 3781 |
| Mahalalel | 65 | 65 | 3711 |
| Jared | 162 | 160 | 3646 |
| Enoch | 65 | 65 | 3486 |
| Methuselah | 187 | 185 | 3421 |
| Lamech | 182 | 180 | 3236 |
| Noah | 500 | 500 | 3056 |
| Shem | 100 | 100 | 2556 |
| Arphaxad | 35 | 35 | 2456 |
| Shelah | 30 | 30 | 2421 |
| Eber | 34 | 35 | 2391 |
| Peleg | 30 | 30 | 2356 |
| Reu | 32 | 30 | 2326 |
| Serug | 30 | 30 | 2296 |
| Nahor | 29 | 30 | 2266 |
| Terah | 70 | 70 | 2236 |
| Abraham | 100 | 100 | 2166 |
| Isaac | 60 | 60 | 2066 |
| Jacob | 91* | 90* | 2006 |
| Joseph | — | — | 1916 |
Jacob’s age at Joseph’s birth is a narrative deduction: Joseph is 30 + 7 + 2 = 39 at the Entry, while Jacob is 130, so 130 − 39 = 91, rounded to 90. File_51a §3.1 prints this interval on Joseph’s row. Here it is placed on Jacob’s row so that every age column consistently describes the named father’s outgoing interval. Joseph’s dash means no outgoing fatherhood age is supplied in this table; it does not mean zero.
The original-input column uses the selected comparison state: Noah 500, Shem 100 with the separate Shem +2 excluded, and Terah 70. These conventions are declared in A1. The narrative-derived Jacob-to-Joseph interval is distinguished from the explicit genealogical fatherhood figures.
Connecting the Regular table to 1406 BC
The article adopts the repository’s 1406 BC Conquest anchor. The following steps connect it to the Jacob anchor used by File_51a §3.1. Working backward adds years to the BC numeral:
| Step backward | Calculation | Earlier anchor |
|---|---|---|
| Conquest to Exodus | 1406 + 40 = 1446 | Exodus, 1446 BC |
| Exodus to Entry into Egypt | 1446 + 430 = 1876 | Entry, 1876 BC |
| Entry to Jacob’s birth | 1876 + 130 = 2006 | Jacob, 2006 BC |
The 430 is the selected full Egyptian-sojourn convention; it is not a sum of the lifespans of Levi, Kohath, and Amram. Jacob’s 130 is his stated age at the Entry (Genesis 47:9).
The 21 rounded fatherhood intervals from Adam through Isaac total 2100, reaching Jacob. Thus 2006 + 2100 = 4106 BC. The same intervals before rounding total 2106, giving 2006 + 2106 = 4112 BC in the strict unrounded comparison without Shem’s +2. The separate 91 → 90 Jacob-to-Joseph interval comes after that sum: 2006 − 90 = 1916 BC.
This also exposes the Regular 2700 total used in the main article: 2100 + 130 + 430 + 40 = 2700. The birth labels are calculated from these intervals; they are not independently rounded calendar dates.

A2. How the Cumulative head is obtained
For the Cumulative construction, the full lifespan is rounded to the nearest multiple of five. Its genealogy continues from Jacob through Levi, Kohath, Amram, and Moses; Joseph is therefore not part of this 26-lifespan sum. The Regular table above follows the Joseph branch after Jacob. The two tables use their declared chains rather than forcing every row into a single identical list.
The 26 values in File_51a §16.1 give:
| Figure | Source lifespan | Rounded lifespan | Rounded Cumulative start, BC |
|---|---|---|---|
| Adam | 930 | 930 | 14006 |
| Seth | 912 | 910 | 13076 |
| Enosh | 905 | 905 | 12166 |
| Kenan | 910 | 910 | 11261 |
| Mahalalel | 895 | 895 | 10351 |
| Jared | 962 | 960 | 9456 |
| Enoch | 365 | 365 | 8496 |
| Methuselah | 969 | 970 | 8131 |
| Lamech | 777 | 775 | 7161 |
| Noah | 950 | 950 | 6386 |
| Shem | 600 | 600 | 5436 |
| Arphaxad | 438 | 440 | 4836 |
| Shelah | 433 | 435 | 4396 |
| Eber | 464 | 465 | 3961 |
| Peleg | 239 | 240 | 3496 |
| Reu | 239 | 240 | 3256 |
| Serug | 230 | 230 | 3016 |
| Nahor | 148 | 150 | 2786 |
| Terah | 205 | 205 | 2636 |
| Abraham | 175 | 175 | 2431 |
| Isaac | 180 | 180 | 2256 |
| Jacob | 147 | 145 | 2076 |
| Levi | 137 | 135 | 1931 |
| Kohath | 133 | 135 | 1796 |
| Amram | 137 | 135 | 1661 |
| Moses | 120 | 120 | 1526 |
| Total | 12600 | 12600 | Terminal: 1406 |
The positive rounding adjustments sum to +12 and the negative adjustments to −12. Their cancellation preserves the total. Adding 12600 to the terminal BC numeral gives 1406 + 12600 = 14006. Each intermediate start in the table was recomputed from the rounded lifespans.
To reproduce the Cumulative dates, start at the bottom with Moses’ death at 1406 BC. Add his rounded lifespan: 1406 + 120 = 1526. Add Amram’s rounded lifespan next: 1526 + 135 = 1661. Continue upward through the table, adding each lifespan, until the total of 12600 reaches 14006 BC.
These are positions in a lifespan-stacking construction. For example, the coordinate 13076 is both the end of Adam’s Cumulative block and the start of Seth’s block. It is not a new assertion about Adam’s historical death.
The Rounded Regular death-date layer uses a different rule: round the begetting interval and the remaining years separately, then add them. These secondary dates retain File_51a’s MOD-5 THEORETICAL status. They must not be substituted for the total-rounded Cumulative lifespans. Two rows show the difference particularly clearly:
| Figure | Separate rounding for the Regular death-date layer | Direct rounding for the Cumulative chain | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Methuselah | 187 + 782 → 185 + 780 = 965 | 969 → 970 | 5 |
| Reu | 32 + 207 → 30 + 205 = 235 | 239 → 240 | 5 |
In the Regular layer, Methuselah’s death is 3421 − 965 = 2456 BC, at the Rounded Flood; Reu’s is 2326 − 235 = 2091 BC. The Cumulative chain already uses 970 and 240, so its 12600 total, Creation at 14006 BC, and Flood boundary at 4836 BC remain unchanged. The Regular Creation and Flood coordinates, 4106 and 2456 BC, likewise remain unchanged: that chronology follows the begetting intervals, not a sum of these lifespans.
No probability estimate for the cancellation or for the bridge is asserted in this article.

A3. The symmetry and the eight-span count
The Regular arrangement uses four named source anchors:
| Segment | Calculation | Length |
|---|---|---|
| Creation to Noah’s birth | 4106 − 3056 | 1050 |
| Noah’s birth to Flood | 3056 − 2456 | 600 |
| Flood to Conquest | 2456 − 1406 | 1050 |
| Creation to Flood | 4106 − 2456 = 1050 + 600 | 1650 |
| Noah’s birth to Conquest | 3056 − 1406 = 600 + 1050 | 1650 |
| Creation to Conquest | 4106 − 1406 = 1050 + 600 + 1050 | 2700 |
Creation-to-Flood and Noah-to-Conquest intersect on 3056–2456 BC, the shared 600. Their combined coverage is therefore 1650 + 1650 − 600 = 2700. The subtraction removes one duplicate count of the shared interval; it does not remove those 600 years from the chronology.
The six preceding blocks and the final two spans are:
| Counted span | Start, BC | End, BC | Length | Role |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 14006 | 12356 | 1650 | First measuring block of the bridge |
| 2 | 12356 | 10706 | 1650 | Second measuring block |
| 3 | 10706 | 9056 | 1650 | Third measuring block |
| 4 | 9056 | 7406 | 1650 | Fourth measuring block |
| 5 | 7406 | 5756 | 1650 | Fifth measuring block |
| 6 | 5756 | 4106 | 1650 | Sixth block ends at Regular Creation |
| 7 | 4106 | 2456 | 1650 | Regular Creation to Regular Flood |
| 8 | 3056 | 1406 | 1650 | Regular Noah’s birth to Conquest; overlaps span 7 |
The first six are an equal partition of the source-defined 9900 gap. Their internal divisions are measuring boundaries, not additional patriarchal events. The labels 7 and 8 count spans; they do not imply that span 8 begins after span 7 ends.
The complete calculation is:
14006 − 1406 = 12600.
6 × 1650 + (1650 + 1650 − 600) = 9900 + 2700 = 12600.
8 × 1650 = 13200 = 22 × 600; 13200 − 600 = 12600 = 21 × 600.
The counted total is divisible by both 1650 and 600. Subtracting the duplicate overlap removes one of its 22 units of 600 and leaves 21. This arithmetic compatibility motivates further exploration of 600-year patterns; no additional pattern is established here.
The total of the eight span lengths is 13200 because it counts Noah-to-Flood twice. Their union has length 12600. Adjacent spans meet at boundaries; this elapsed-width calculation does not add an inclusive year at each shared endpoint.
This preserves the earlier six-plus-one statement: spans 1–7 run consecutively from 14006 BC to the Regular Flood at 2456 BC, totalling 11550. Span 8 starts at Noah’s birth within span 7 and reaches the Conquest. It supplies a further 1050 of coverage beyond the Flood while sharing the preceding 600.
File_51a §16.3 explicitly states the 1050 + 600 + 1050 arrangement; §16.10.1 supplies the six preceding 1650 blocks and the seventh to the Regular Flood. The legacy report §§5.1 and 6.1 supplies the paired 1650 spans and equal 1050 intervals. Combining these established relationships gives the eight-span decomposition above. It is an explanatory arrangement, not an independent statistical result.
The entire 12600 is a Cumulative coordinate extent, while the last two spans use Regular nodes.
A4. Boundaries of the comparison
The comparison uses the Regular Flood at 2456 BC. The native Cumulative Flood at 4836 BC gives a different span:
14006 − 4836 = 9170, whereas 14006 − 2456 = 11550.
The 12600 lifespan total was obtained independently of the eight-span presentation by summing the selected lifespans (A2). The decomposition in A3 shows how that known extent can be expressed through the established Regular anchors. It does not supply a second independent statistical test of the chronology.
The actual 9890 bridge likewise retains its distinct inputs: 14006 − 4116 = 9890, where 4116 is the actual MT Year-6/Adam-state anchor discussed in File_22. It is not the Rounded 4106 used here. No actual endpoint, +30 overlay, or Aaron +5 alternative is substituted into the focal diagram.
The arithmetic verifies the declared spans and their overlap. The Creation-week and renewal readings remain theological interpretations of that arrangement. No probability claim or proof of ancient authorial intention is inferred from the decomposition alone.
