A1. The complete MT lifespan ledger
The table follows File 18 §6A’s Moses/Nisan line. All coordinates are BC. A segment begins at the printed cumulative starting coordinate and ends after that person’s full recorded lifespan has been subtracted. Its end becomes the next segment’s start.
These are constructed lifespan segments. Except where the terminal Mosaic anchor coincides with the ordinary chronology, they are not ordinary historical birth and death dates. Enoch’s segment ends with his recorded departure, without implying that Genesis describes his death.

| 26. Moses | Deut 34:7 | 120 | 1526 | 1406 |
| 26 recorded lives | Total | 12600 | 14006 | 1406 |
The 26 lifespans sum to 12600. The first ten contribute 8575; the next nine, 2996; and the final seven, 1029. These are convenient groups for checking the complete sum.
Genesis 11 commonly gives two components rather than a separately stated total. For example, Shem’s 100 + 500 gives 600; Arphaxad’s 35 + 403 gives 438. The ledger displays those additions so that a total calculated from the text is distinguishable from a total expressly stated in it.
The line continues from Jacob through Levi, Kohath, Amram, and Moses. This counts the named lives retained in the table; it does not by itself settle questions about unnamed biological generations. Joseph is collateral to this line, Aaron is its parallel ending, and Joshua belongs to a separate continuation. None supplies an additional row in this 26-life sum. Nor is the table’s separate Ark Warning marker an extra 120-year life: it falls within Shem’s 600-year segment.
The ordinary chronological comparison uses normal MT/Nisan, 430 years in Egypt, no Terah +60, and no restored second Cainan. These ordinary chronological adjustments are not added to the cumulative lifespan sum. Adam’s apparent-age overlay is also outside the present calculation.

A2. Moses’ endpoint and the final 120 years
On a narrow screen, scroll the table sideways to see every column.
| Event | Repository coordinate | Age or interval | Basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Moses’ birth | 1526 BC | Starting point | File 18 §2.4; 120 years before the terminal year |
| Speaking to Pharaoh and the Exodus setting | 1446 BC | Age 80; 1526 − 1446 = 80 | Exodus 7:7; repository Exodus anchor |
| Moses’ death | 1406 BC | Age 120; 1526 − 1406 = 120 | Deuteronomy 34:7; File 18 §§2.4, 6A |
| Jordan crossing | 1406 BC, Nisan 10 | Follows Moses’ death and mourning | Deuteronomy 34:8; Joshua 4:19; repository Conquest anchor |
The biblical texts supply the ages and event order; the BC coordinates belong to the chronological reconstruction. Moses’ last 40 years complete his existing 120-year segment. They are not an additional interval to place after the 26-life total.
The principal equations are:
1526 − 120 = 1406
1406 + 12600 = 14006
File 18 identifies 14006 as cumulative Adam/Year 6. Its seven-year starting field is 14011–14004. The selected 14006 member and the 14004 closing boundary have different roles; substituting the latter into the same 1406 calculation would change the span.
Return to the endpoint explanation.
A3. Moses and Aaron: ages, coordinates, and seasons
What the biblical ages establish
Exodus 7:7 gives Moses as 80 and Aaron as 83 when they speak to Pharaoh. Numbers 33:38–39 places Aaron’s death at 123, on the first day of the fifth month in the fortieth wilderness year. Deuteronomy 34:7 gives Moses’ age at death as 120. Both men are mourned for 30 days (Numbers 20:29; Deuteronomy 34:8).
The whole-year age differences are 83 − 80 = 3 and 123 − 120 = 3. These statements do not provide two exact birthdays or an explicit 3.5-year birth interval. The seasonal comparison belongs to the repository’s chronological model.
Add the common ancestry behind either brother
The first 25 retained lives—Adam through Amram—sum to 12480. This gives a particularly transparent way to reproduce the parallel starting coordinates:
On a narrow screen, scroll the table sideways to see every column.
| Display used | Terminal starting coordinate | Shared 25-life sum | Cumulative Adam starting coordinate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Moses/Nisan | 1526 | +12480 | 14006 |
| Aaron, whole-year comparison | 1529 | +12480 | 14009 |
| Aaron, exact seasonal coordinate | 1529.5 | +12480 | 14009.5 |
In the whole-year comparison, corresponding starts differ by 3. In the seasonal comparison, they differ by 3.5. Those separations are preserved because exactly the same ancestral durations are added behind both starts.
The total through Moses is 12480 + 120 = 12600. Substituting Aaron’s recorded 123 for Moses’ 120 would give 12603. This is a parallel 26-life sum, not 27 lives with both brothers added together. It does not authorize assigning the brothers the same historical death.
Read the seasonal labels consistently
Nisan is the spring reference; Tishri is the autumn reference. The current phase convention places Aaron at 1530t and Moses at 1526n. In File 18’s common numerical coordinate format, Aaron’s Tishri position is written 1529.5. The suffix t is part of the calendar label: bare subtraction of 1530 − 1526 would lose the half-year relationship.
On a narrow screen, scroll the table sideways to see every column.
| Layer | Aaron side | Moses side | Meaning |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ordinary whole-year starting comparison | 1529n | 1526n | Three-year separation |
| Seasonal starting comparison | 1530t, represented numerically as 1529.5 | 1526n | 3.5-year separation in the phase model |
| Seasonal terminal representation | About 1407t | About 1406n | Aaron’s terminal event is earlier, with approximately half a year between the represented phases |
| Recorded lifespan | 123 | 120 | The textual lifespans remain unchanged |
The seasonal representations agree with the lifespan lengths: 1530t → 1407t = 123, and 1526n → 1406n = 120. The endpoint labels are schematic seasonal representations, not claims that both men died precisely at a new-year boundary. Aaron’s actual narrated death is on Av 1; the repository places Moses’ death later in the winter phase before the western Jordan crossing.
This distinction also explains a possible trap in the source table. Its common 1406 BC Conquest target beneath both comparison columns is not Aaron’s individual death date. Subtracting 1406 from Aaron’s numerical starting coordinate 1529.5 gives 123.5, but that calculation combines Aaron’s starting position with the Moses-side target. It cannot revise Aaron’s stated lifespan of 123.
The exact 3.5-year phase comparison is retained alongside the whole-year three-year comparison. Neither replaces the other. File 18 §§6–6A and the September 13 controls in the State Vocabulary Register §§D.44.3–4 govern this distinction.

A4. The seven-year starting fields
The primary object is a week of seven years. Its default balanced whole-year partition is 2 + 3 + 2. The middle three comes from the whole-year Aaron/Moses comparison; the two-year outer portions carry the Noah/Shem comparison associated with Genesis 5:32 and 11:10. The construction is a chronological interpretation of those relationships, not a quoted instruction in Genesis to add two years at every patriarch.
For a Moses/Nisan starting coordinate M, the four whole-year boundaries are:
M + 5 → M + 3 → M → M − 2.
Because BC numbers decrease as time advances, the successive differences are 2, 3, and 2. The outer width is always 7.
On a narrow screen, scroll the table sideways to see every column.
| Row or starting field | Older outer boundary | Aaron whole-year position | Moses/Nisan position | Younger outer boundary | Outer width |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mosaic starting comparison | 1531 | 1529 | 1526 | 1524 | 7 |
| Adam | 14011 | 14009 | 14006 | 14004 | 7 |
| Seth | 13081 | 13079 | 13076 | 13074 | 7 |
| Peleg | 3501 | 3499 | 3496 | 3494 | 7 |
Adding 12480 to every member of the Mosaic starting comparison gives the Adam row. Subtracting Adam’s 930 from every member of that row gives Seth:
On a narrow screen, scroll the table sideways to see every column.
| Boundary carried forward | Calculation | Seth boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Older outer | 14011 − 930 | 13081 |
| Aaron whole-year | 14009 − 930 | 13079 |
| Moses/Nisan | 14006 − 930 | 13076 |
| Younger outer | 14004 − 930 | 13074 |
Every subtraction preserves the same seven-year width. Peleg’s 3501–3494 starting field likewise accompanies his full 239-year segment; it is not a seven-year lifespan or a replacement for his ordinary MT biography, 2357–2118 BC.
These ranges are coordinated starting fields. They are not independent statistical error bars, and their widths must not be accumulated as extra lifespan years. Nor are both outer boundaries counted as eight elapsed years: 14011 − 14004 is seven.
The half-year seasonal relation is a separate layer. Replacing the central 3 with 3.5 would yield 2 + 3.5 + 2 = 7.5, an expressly different phase-spread comparison. It must not silently replace the seven-year field. Other source-qualified whole-year partitions, including 2+2+3 and 3+2+2, are alternative arrangements of seven; they are not additional simultaneous adjustments.
Return to the week-of-years explanation.
A5. The 8575 + 600 + 3430 spine
File 18 §6A gives the cumulative seven-year fields for Adam, Shem, and Flood/Arphaxad. File 09 §§3A.4.2 and 4.1 explicitly connect the Flood/Arphaxad field to the Conquest/rest field. Comparing opening boundaries with opening boundaries, and closing boundaries with closing boundaries, gives:
On a narrow screen, scroll the table sideways to see every column.
| Stage | Opening-boundary calculation | Closing-boundary calculation | Common span |
|---|---|---|---|
| Adam → Shem | 14011 − 5436 | 14004 − 5429 | 8575 = 175 × 49 |
| Shem → Flood/Arphaxad | 5436 − 4836 | 5429 − 4829 | 600 |
| Flood/Arphaxad → Conquest/rest | 4836 − 1406 | 4829 − 1399 | 3430 = 7 × 490 = 70 × 49 |
| Complete corresponding-boundary route | 14011 − 1406 | 14004 − 1399 | 12605 |
The first interval is the sum of the ten lives from Adam through Noah; it reaches the beginning of Shem’s segment. The second is Shem’s full 600 years. The third is the source-controlled mapping from the cumulative Flood/Arphaxad field, 4836–4829 BC, to the 1406–1399 BC Conquest/rest field. The year 1399 is the repository’s first Sabbath/rest year after the Conquest sequence (File 18 §2.4).
The shared cumulative Flood/Arphaxad field is a table convention. It does not identify the ordinary historical Flood with Arphaxad’s birth, which Genesis 11:10 places two years later.
The Jubilee unit
“Jubilee” here denotes the 49-year counting unit, 7 × 7 years, used in the canonical chronology. Leviticus 25:8–11 distinguishes the count of 49 years from the consecrated Jubilee year, called the fiftieth. The present calculation uses successive 49-year units; it does not require settling how the fiftieth year is reckoned between recurring cycles.
The factorizations are 8575 = 7 × 7 × 7 × 5 × 5 = 175 × 49 and 3430 = 7 × 7 × 70 = 70 × 49 = 7 × 490. File 09 §1 supplies the 175-Jubilee relation; §§3A.4.2 and 4.1 supply the seven-490 relation. Their shared seven-year basis supports the coherence of the week-of-years framework. It does not independently determine the particular 2 + 3 + 2 partition, which is explained through the Moses/Aaron and Noah/Shem relationships in A3–A4.
Why this total is 12605 rather than 12600
The selected Moses/Nisan lifespan ledger follows 14006 → 5431 → 4831 → 1406 BC. Its intervals are 8575 + 600 + 3425 = 12600; the 3425 is the sum of the retained lives from Arphaxad through Moses.
The spine compares the seven-year fields at their corresponding boundaries. Its final interval is 3430, as File 09 explicitly specifies, and its full span is 12605. At the opening boundary, the difference is especially clear:
14011 − 1406 = 12605
14006 − 1406 = 12600
14011 − 14006 = 5.
The five-year difference comes from the selected endpoints; no patriarch receives five additional years. Both complete boundary routes measure 12605. A cross-comparison from the earliest Adam boundary, 14011, to the latest rest boundary, 1399, would instead measure 12612 and is not the corresponding-boundary calculation used here.

The lifespan totals and coordinate differences can be checked directly. The correspondence with Revelation’s 1260 days belongs to theological interpretation: the cumulative total is measured in years.
