Fibonacci Patterns: Full Tables and Source Notes

These tables accompany Fibonacci Patterns in Biblical Chronology. They separate the exact calculations from chronological choices and from the proposed Fibonacci interpretation.

Sequence and ratios

The ordinary sequence begins 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8. Each subsequent number is the sum of the previous two. The tenfold tail studied here begins with 20 and 30. The value after 550 is 890, because 340 + 550 = 890.

The golden ratio is φ = (1 + √5) / 2 ≈ 1.618033988749895. The table’s ratios and differences are rounded to nine decimal places. Consecutive Fibonacci ratios approach φ; none equals the irrational number exactly. The mathematical definitions can be checked independently in the On-Line Encyclopedia of Integer Sequences: Fibonacci numbers, A000045, and the golden ratio, A001622.

The recurrence supplies an exact classification. Numerical closeness alone does not supply one: a pair of dates can approximate φ without forming a Fibonacci sequence. A meaningful comparison should state its starting values, common scale, endpoints, and any transformation.

These calculations use conventional whole-year ages. The passages do not identify the day of Joseph’s birth or give a standalone Jacob-at-Joseph’s-birth age statement.

File 03 controls Joseph’s standard 1915–1805 BC lifespan under the 1876 BC entry into Egypt. File 04 §1.1 controls Jacob’s standard 2006–1859 BC lifespan, entry at 1876 BC, and age 130 at entry. File 04 §3 emphasizes 147 = 3 × 49, the Jubilee identity. The 13 + 8 = 21 partition is a derived reading of these controlled inputs.

The dates shown in Figure 2 use the ordinary 430-years-in-Egypt setting. File 03’s clarity-only Rounded reference uses Joseph’s birth at 1916 BC, with Jacob’s begetting age rounded from 91 to 90. That reference belongs to another method and is not substituted into the ordinary 91 + 56 argument. Neither a Cainan insertion nor +60 Terah is needed here.

The last row gives 205 − 75 = 130, under the interpretation that connects the father’s death with Abraham’s move from Haran. The +60 adjustment propagates backward from Terah toward Adam; Abraham and the subsequent fixed chronology are not moved. Abraham’s age-75 departure in Genesis 12:4 is from Haran, rather than a direct statement of his age on leaving Ur.

The main age comparison is 130 / 80 = 13 / 8 = 1.625. These are ages drawn from separate biographies. The equality 130 + 80 = 210 is a numerical relation and does not establish a continuous historical interval without named endpoints.

The Creation endpoint is the selected chronological node. The Year-6 / Adam coordinate and the seven-year Creation-week wrapper are separate nodes; this table does not relabel them as 4114 BC. File 18 controls those distinctions, the regular genealogy, and the Flood Gears.

460 = 20 × 23, 1196 = 52 × 23, and 1656 = 72 × 23. Multiplying by 25/23 therefore produces the exact integers 500, 1300, and 1800. These are numerical comparison spans, not replacements for the ordinary historical dates.

File 22 §7.12 explicitly retains 1196 × 25/23 = 1300; File 14 §4.4 retains 1656 × 25/23 = 1800. The Fibonacci comparison with Adam’s separate 800-year remainder is proposed here from those inputs. It does not turn 500 + 1300 into a 500 + 800 partition of the same transformed Creation-to-Flood interval.

MT and LXX: two different gap comparisons

The wider comparison uses the current selected LXX Lamech lifespan 753, rather than the legacy 777 overlay. Regular chronology uses begetting ages; cumulative chronology stacks successive lifespans. Their gaps must be labeled independently.

The regular endpoints come from File 18, including its current native-LXX 5494 BC control and +60 alternative. The cumulative coordinates and envelopes come from File 18 §§6A and 6D, with File 09 controlling cumulative methodology. The envelope comparisons pair corresponding endpoints; a whole envelope is not a single date.

14896 − 14006 = 890 compares the native cumulative tables. 5494 − 4114 = 1380 is the stated regular comparison. 5554 − 4114 = 1440 introduces an asymmetric Terah setting. Applying +60 to both regular sides would preserve the 1380-year gap: 5554 − 4174 = 1380.

The two scaled Fibonacci values give 1440 / 890 = 144 / 89 ≈ 1.617977528. The arithmetic is exact before division; the chronological constructions differ. This is a conditional numerical correspondence, not a matched-state replacement for the regular 1380-year comparison.

Canonical controls and Scripture sources

The present edition checks the ordinary Jacob and Joseph chronology against File 03 and File 04; chronological variants against File 18; cumulative comparison methods against File 09; and transformed span examples against File 14 and File 22. The source index provides the complete current research collection.

Scripture links identify the Berean Standard Bible (BSB). Ages derived from several passages are explicitly distinguished from direct verse statements. The new study’s sole Scripture quotation is Genesis 47:28; its wording and its mixed spelled-out and digit-based number formatting are preserved. Translators’ notes are not reproduced as Scripture text.
