Same-side BC spans use subtraction of the later, lower BC label from the earlier, higher BC label. 2. Backward cumulative construction may be displayed by addition, but the checked span remains same-side subtraction. 3. Decimal `.5` values and `t/n` suffixes are phase states, not ordinary floating-point approximations. 4. Whole-year displays may be used only when explicitly labeled. 5.
